Miami Vice Supporting Cast

The script of Miami Vice was tight, and a well played drama. Crockett and Tubbs played off each other and with their casting counterparts. Being members of the Miami Vice, other cops frequently factored into their daily lives, including their Lieutenant, Martin Castillo, played by Edward James Olmos.

The lieutenant, a by-the-book cop who was the head of Metro Dade Organized Crime Bureau, was constantly frustrated with Crockett and Tubbs’ unorthodox methods, but had complete confidence in their abilities as detectives. The detectives style was the only cast member capable of holding his own against Johnson’s onslaught character, Sonny Crockett.

Crockett and Tubbs were supported by Zito, played by John Diehl and Switek, played by Michael Talbott who was undercover cops on Miami Vice with unique methods of detection.

Detectives Trudy Joplin, played by Olivia Brown, and Gina Calbrese, played by Saundra Santiago, assisted the Crockett-Tubbs duo with research and information.

Other cast included Lou Rodriguez played by Gregory Sierra, Caroline Crockett played by Canadian actress Belinda Montgomery, Caitlin Davies-Crockett played by Sheena Easton, Valerie Gordon played by Pamela Suzette, and Izzy Moreno played by Martin Ferrero who partnered with Neville ‘Noogie’ Lamon played by Charlie Barnett, as the not to be forgotten dynamic duo.

Not to mention the many, many actors and actresses who played the criminals and drug lords throughout the series. Every cast member of this show lent their own unique style to the script, making Miami Vice the iconic cop show that has gone down in history.
