University of Miami Location and Background

The University of Miami is located in Coral Gables, Florida and it sits on a beautiful 230 acres which is really nice for students as the city has many amenities with a flare of Mediterranean Revival architectural style and the city offers students of the University great shopping and dinning with plenty to see and do. The University of Miami was founded in 1926 but today has grown and now 2 colleges along with a total of seven schools.

Today this University provides around 155 bachelors, 125 masters, 60 doctoral, plus 2 professional fields of study for students to select from and earn degrees. The College endeavors to keep class sizes down to 15 or less for undergraduates, actually there is less than 25 students on average in most classes. The University has 22 accrediting agencies and is with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

There are many things offered for students to do like Sporting event. The University allows full time students both men and women to play competitively through its intramural program. The club sports are abundant which will guarantee that students will find a sporting event they will enjoy. They offer around 30 like Aikido, Bowling, Dance, Rock Climbing, Golf and even Water Polo are just a few of the many.

Students can also enjoy the Italian Restaurant and make use of the Convenience Store. The University of Miami also has the School Of Music, Ring Theater, Lowe Art Museum, Cosford Cinema, Hurricane Productions and the Convocation Center. So there are always shows, plays, music, and fine arts to be enjoyed.
