Property Flipping
One last note on the so called “Flipping of property”. This is a term that you will unavoidably encounter sooner or later when discussing the Miami condo market. Flipping property is a process where a person buys a condo not to live in, but to rapidly sell for a higher price. Since the price of Miami condos are still raising, you could potentially make a lot of money in a short time by “flipping” a Miami condo. Flipping property is not in anyway illegal, but just like with any other type of investment promising a lot of money in a short period of time it involves high risks. Some analysts believe that the Miami condo market will begin to cool down quite soon, due to natural market corrections. Other point to the fact that the high prices have caused a number of condo development projects to be launched in Miami during the last few years, and when they are all completed they will add several thousands of new condos to the Miami real estate market. An increased supply will typically lead to falling prices, and those who buy expensive Miami condos today hoping to “flip” them could loose out on a lot of money if they don’t sell in time. © 2005 Everything Displays, Inc., All Rights Reserved.
